I hope you and Mom had a nice day together. I didn't get to spend any time cause I didn't want to spend $1000, so I sent Mom 2 lbs of chocolate. She was happy with that...

In THIS Mojopost, not only has our Queen come home from the vortex, but she has brought with her the face of a cherub. That's special! Hurray for Mojo! 10! 10! 10!

I'm going to preface my post now with this: I am old. Not old old, but old by many (young) people's standards.

Today I heard a story about what happens to one's Facebook postings after one dies. In the story, I hope I misheard what I think I heard. One of the commenters referred to the internet as "the environet."

No.

I'm not going to take that. I like dicking around the net, but "environet"? Like I LIVE here?!! I'm not prepared to go that deep. I still like dirt and water and air. Mojo, you might want to write a piece about this sometime. It's making me scared and sad.

Mojo, I'm sure this was not a very bright Mom's Day for you or your Mom. How's your gardening going? Luff you, sweety.

Oh hi! Mom had a pretty fine day with my sister, eating turkey and talking about plants. She was busy on the phone ALL DAY, and I couldn't get through to her until about 8:00. "What have you been doing all day?" I asked. "Oh my GAHD. I've been collecting free plants ALL DAY! Dear LORD, you should SEE them all! I had six children, you know."

Mom hopes the neighbors will be jealous.

Anony - speaking of environents (not a typo), you reminded me of an article I read in Rolling Stone while I was sitting with Dad. It's called "When Man & Machine Merge", by David Kushner (issue 1072, Feb. 19, 2009). I kept the article because it scared the living shit out of me. In the article you can read about Ray Kurzweil (he made the synthesizer) and his diabolical mathematic calculations, which indicate that we will merge with computers and live forever. Oh yes, and that the universe will become conscious in 2045. Look up "singularity". Is it good or bad? No time to think about it - the next 100 years of progress will be more like 20,000 years of progress. And you thought your in-box was stuffed before...

After the past eight years, it'll take an awful lot of stuffing to make my inbox squeal.

Mojo, your patio garden? Any pschedelics? Datura root, mescal? Anything? If not, how did you find your way out of the gnp vortex? Just askin. Scrotch says hi.
